Offerings for the Tabernacle

𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 𐤅𐤉𐤃𐤁𐤓 𐤀𐤋 𐤌𐤔𐤄 𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤓
יְהוָ֖ה וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ Yah·weh way·ḏab·bêr ’el- mō·šeh lê·mōr — WLC · 1

“Tell the Israelites… to bring Me an offering… You are to receive My offering from every man whose heart compels him.

דַּבֵּר֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶל־ וְיִקְחוּ־ לִ֖י תְּרוּמָ֑ה מֵאֵ֤ת תִּקְח֖וּ אֶת־ תְּרוּמָתִֽי׃ כָּל־ אִישׁ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לִבּ֔וֹ יִדְּבֶ֣נּוּ dab·bêr bə·nê yiś·rā·’êl ’el- wə·yiq·ḥū- lî tə·rū·māh mê·’êṯ tiq·ḥū ’eṯ- tə·rū·mā·ṯî kāl- ’îš ’ă·šer lib·bōw yid·də·ḇen·nū — WLC · 2

This is the offering you are to accept from them: gold, silver, and bronze;

blue, purple, and scarlet yarn…; fine linen and goat hair;

ram skins dyed red vvv and fine leather; acacia wood;

אֵילִ֧ם וְעֹרֹ֨ת מְאָדָּמִ֛ים וְעֹרֹ֥ת תְּחָשִׁ֖ים שִׁטִּֽים׃ וַעֲצֵ֥י ’ê·lim wə·‘ō·rōṯ mə·’ād·dā·mîm wə·‘ō·rōṯ tə·ḥā·šîm šiṭ·ṭîm wa·‘ă·ṣê — WLC · 5

olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;

שֶׁ֖מֶן לַמָּאֹ֑ר בְּשָׂמִים֙ הַמִּשְׁחָ֔ה לְשֶׁ֣מֶן הַסַּמִּֽים׃ וְלִקְטֹ֖רֶת še·men lam·mā·’ōr bə·śā·mîm ham·miš·ḥāh lə·še·men has·sam·mîm wə·liq·ṭō·reṯ — WLC · 6

and onyx stones… and gemstones to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.
𐤀𐤁𐤍𐤉 𐤔𐤄𐤌 𐤅𐤀𐤁𐤍𐤉 𐤌𐤋𐤀𐤉𐤌 𐤋𐤀𐤐𐤃 𐤅𐤋𐤇𐤔𐤍
אַבְנֵי־ שֹׁ֕הַם וְאַבְנֵ֖י מִלֻּאִ֑ים לָאֵפֹ֖ד וְלַחֹֽשֶׁן׃ ’aḇ·nê- šō·ham wə·’aḇ·nê mil·lu·’îm lā·’ê·p̄ōḏ wə·la·ḥō·šen — WLC · 7

And they are to make a sanctuary for Me, so that I may dwell among them.

וְעָ֥שׂוּ מִקְדָּ֑שׁ לִ֖י וְשָׁכַנְתִּ֖י בְּתוֹכָֽם׃ wə·‘ā·śū miq·dāš lî wə·šā·ḵan·tî bə·ṯō·w·ḵām — WLC · 8

You must make the tabernacle and design all its furnishings… according to the pattern I show you.

תַּעֲשֽׂוּ׃ס הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן וְאֵ֖ת תַּבְנִ֣ית כָּל־ כֵּלָ֑יו וְכֵ֖ן כְּכֹ֗ל אֵ֚ת תַּבְנִ֣ית אֲשֶׁ֤ר אֲנִי֙ מַרְאֶ֣ה אוֹתְךָ֔ ta·‘ă·śū ham·miš·kān wə·’êṯ taḇ·nîṯ kāl- kê·lāw wə·ḵên kə·ḵōl ’êṯ taḇ·nîṯ ’ă·šer ’ă·nî mar·’eh ’ō·wṯ·ḵā — WLC · 9
The Ark of the Covenant

And they are to construct an ark of acacia wood, two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.

וְעָשׂ֥וּ אֲר֖וֹן שִׁטִּ֑ים עֲצֵ֣י אַמָּתַ֨יִם וָחֵ֜צִי אָרְכּ֗וֹ וְאַמָּ֤ה וָחֵ֙צִי֙ רָחְבּ֔וֹ וְאַמָּ֥ה וָחֵ֖צִי קֹמָתֽוֹ׃ wə·‘ā·śū ’ă·rō·wn šiṭ·ṭîm ‘ă·ṣê ’am·mā·ṯa·yim wā·ḥê·ṣî ’ā·rə·kōw wə·’am·māh wā·ḥê·ṣî rā·ḥə·bōw wə·’am·māh wā·ḥê·ṣî qō·mā·ṯōw — WLC · 10

Overlay it with pure gold both inside and out, and make… a gold molding around it.

וְצִפִּיתָ֤ אֹתוֹ֙ טָה֔וֹר זָהָ֣ב תְּצַפֶּ֑נּוּ מִבַּ֥יִת וּמִח֖וּץ וְעָשִׂ֧יתָ עָלָ֛יו זָהָ֖ב זֵ֥ר סָבִֽיב׃ wə·ṣip·pî·ṯā ’ō·ṯōw ṭā·hō·wr zā·hāḇ tə·ṣap·pen·nū mib·ba·yiṯ ū·mi·ḥūṣ wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā ‘ā·lāw zā·hāḇ zêr sā·ḇîḇ — WLC · 11

Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, two rings on one side and two on the other -.
𐤅𐤉𐤑𐤒𐤕 𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏 𐤆𐤄𐤁 𐤈𐤁𐤏𐤕 𐤋𐤅 𐤅𐤍𐤕𐤕𐤄 𐤏𐤋 𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏 𐤐𐤏𐤌𐤕𐤉𐤅 𐤅𐤔𐤕𐤉 𐤈𐤁𐤏𐤕 𐤏𐤋 𐤄𐤀𐤇𐤕 𐤑𐤋𐤏𐤅 𐤅𐤔𐤕𐤉 𐤈𐤁𐤏𐤕 𐤏𐤋 𐤄𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤕 𐤑𐤋𐤏𐤅
וְיָצַ֣קְתָּ אַרְבַּע֙ זָהָ֔ב טַבְּעֹ֣ת לּ֗וֹ וְנָ֣תַתָּ֔ה עַ֖ל אַרְבַּ֣ע פַּעֲמֹתָ֑יו וּשְׁתֵּ֣י טַבָּעֹ֗ת עַל־ הָֽאֶחָ֔ת צַלְעוֹ֙ וּשְׁתֵּי֙ טַבָּעֹ֔ת עַל־ הַשֵּׁנִֽית׃ צַלְע֖וֹ wə·yā·ṣaq·tā ’ar·ba‘ zā·hāḇ ṭab·bə·‘ōṯ lōw wə·nā·ṯat·tāh ‘al ’ar·ba‘ pa·‘ă·mō·ṯāw ū·šə·tê ṭab·bā·‘ōṯ ‘al- hā·’e·ḥāṯ ṣal·‘ōw ū·šə·tê ṭab·bā·‘ōṯ ‘al- haš·šê·nîṯ ṣal·‘ōw — WLC · 12

And make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
𐤅𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤕 𐤁𐤃𐤉 𐤔𐤈𐤉𐤌 𐤏𐤑𐤉 𐤅𐤑𐤐𐤉𐤕 𐤀𐤕𐤌 𐤆𐤄𐤁
וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ בַדֵּ֖י שִׁטִּ֑ים עֲצֵ֣י וְצִפִּיתָ֥ אֹתָ֖ם זָהָֽב׃ wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā ḇad·dê šiṭ·ṭîm ‘ă·ṣê wə·ṣip·pî·ṯā ’ō·ṯām zā·hāḇ — WLC · 13

Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, in order to carry [it] -.
𐤅𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤕 𐤀𐤕 𐤄𐤁𐤃𐤉𐤌 𐤁𐤈𐤁𐤏𐤕 𐤏𐤋 𐤑𐤋𐤏𐤕 𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤍 𐤋𐤔𐤀𐤕 𐤀𐤕 𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤍 𐤁𐤄𐤌
וְהֵֽבֵאתָ֤ אֶת־ הַבַּדִּים֙ בַּטַּבָּעֹ֔ת עַ֖ל צַלְעֹ֣ת הָאָרֹ֑ן לָשֵׂ֥את אֶת־ הָאָרֹ֖ן בָּהֶֽם׃ wə·hê·ḇê·ṯā ’eṯ- hab·bad·dîm baṭ·ṭab·bā·‘ōṯ ‘al ṣal·‘ōṯ hā·’ā·rōn lā·śêṯ ’eṯ- hā·’ā·rōn bā·hem — WLC · 14

The poles are to remain in the rings of the ark; they must not be removed -.

הַבַּדִּ֑ים יִהְי֖וּ בְּטַבְּעֹת֙ הָאָרֹ֔ן לֹ֥א יָסֻ֖רוּ מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ hab·bad·dîm yih·yū bə·ṭab·bə·‘ōṯ hā·’ā·rōn lō yā·su·rū mim·men·nū — WLC · 15

And place inside the ark the Testimony, which I will give you.

וְנָתַתָּ֖ אֶל־ הָאָרֹ֑ן אֵ֚ת הָעֵדֻ֔ת אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֶתֵּ֖ן אֵלֶֽיךָ׃ wə·nā·ṯa·tā ’el- hā·’ā·rōn ’êṯ hā·‘ê·ḏuṯ ’ă·šer ’et·tên ’ê·le·ḵā — WLC · 16
The Mercy Seat
17
And you are to construct a mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
𐤅𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤕 𐤊𐤐𐤓𐤕 𐤈𐤄𐤅𐤓 𐤆𐤄𐤁 𐤀𐤌𐤕𐤉𐤌 𐤅𐤇𐤑𐤉 𐤀𐤓𐤊𐤄 𐤅𐤀𐤌𐤄 𐤅𐤇𐤑𐤉 𐤓𐤇𐤁𐤄
וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ כַפֹּ֖רֶת טָה֑וֹר זָהָ֣ב אַמָּתַ֤יִם וָחֵ֙צִי֙ אָרְכָּ֔הּ וְאַמָּ֥ה וָחֵ֖צִי רָחְבָּֽהּ׃ wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā ḵap·pō·reṯ ṭā·hō·wr zā·hāḇ ’am·mā·ṯa·yim wā·ḥê·ṣî ’ā·rə·kāh wə·’am·māh wā·ḥê·ṣî rā·ḥə·bāh — WLC · 17

Make two cherubim - of hammered gold [at the] ends of the mercy seat,
𐤅𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤕 𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 𐤊𐤓𐤁𐤉𐤌 𐤕𐤏𐤔𐤄 𐤀𐤕𐤌 𐤌𐤒𐤔𐤄 𐤆𐤄𐤁 𐤌𐤔𐤍𐤉 𐤒𐤑𐤅𐤕 𐤄𐤊𐤐𐤓𐤕
וְעָשִׂ֛יתָ שְׁנַ֥יִם כְּרֻבִ֖ים תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה אֹתָ֔ם מִקְשָׁה֙ זָהָ֑ב מִשְּׁנֵ֖י קְצ֥וֹת הַכַּפֹּֽרֶת׃ wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā šə·na·yim kə·ru·ḇîm ta·‘ă·śeh ’ō·ṯām miq·šāh zā·hāḇ miš·šə·nê qə·ṣō·wṯ hak·kap·pō·reṯ — WLC · 18

- one cherub on one end and one - on the other [all] made - [from one piece of gold].

וַ֠עֲשֵׂה אֶחָ֤ד כְּר֨וּב מִזֶּ֔ה מִקָּצָה֙ אֶחָ֥ד וּכְרוּב־ מִזֶּ֑ה מִקָּצָ֖ה מִן־ הַכַּפֹּ֛רֶת תַּעֲשׂ֥וּ אֶת־ הַכְּרֻבִ֖ים עַל־ שְׁנֵ֥י קְצוֹתָֽיו׃ wa·‘ă·śêh ’e·ḥāḏ kə·rūḇ miz·zeh miq·qā·ṣāh ’e·ḥāḏ ū·ḵə·rūḇ- miz·zeh miq·qā·ṣāh min- hak·kap·pō·reṯ ta·‘ă·śū ’eṯ- hak·kə·ru·ḇîm ‘al- šə·nê qə·ṣō·w·ṯāw — WLC · 19

And the cherubim are to have wings that spread upward, overshadowing the mercy seat -. [The cherubim] are to face each other,… - looking toward the mercy seat.
𐤄𐤊𐤓𐤁𐤉𐤌 𐤅𐤄𐤉𐤅 𐤊𐤍𐤐𐤉𐤌 𐤐𐤓𐤔𐤉 𐤋𐤌𐤏𐤋𐤄 𐤎𐤊𐤊𐤉𐤌 𐤄𐤊𐤐𐤓𐤕 𐤁𐤊𐤍𐤐𐤉𐤄𐤌 𐤏𐤋 𐤅𐤐𐤍𐤉𐤄𐤌 𐤀𐤉𐤔 𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤅 𐤀𐤋 𐤐𐤍𐤉 𐤄𐤊𐤓𐤁𐤉𐤌 𐤉𐤄𐤉𐤅 𐤀𐤋 𐤄𐤊𐤐𐤓𐤕
הַכְּרֻבִים֩ וְהָי֣וּ כְנָפַ֜יִם פֹּרְשֵׂ֨י לְמַ֗עְלָה סֹכְכִ֤ים הַכַּפֹּ֔רֶת בְּכַנְפֵיהֶם֙ עַל־ וּפְנֵיהֶ֖ם אִ֣ישׁ אָחִ֑יו אֶל־ פְּנֵ֥י הַכְּרֻבִֽים׃ יִהְי֖וּ אֶל־ הַכַּפֹּ֔רֶת hak·kə·ru·ḇîm wə·hā·yū ḵə·nā·p̄a·yim pō·rə·śê lə·ma‘·lāh sō·ḵə·ḵîm hak·kap·pō·reṯ bə·ḵan·p̄ê·hem ‘al- ū·p̄ə·nê·hem ’îš ’ā·ḥîw ’el- pə·nê hak·kə·ru·ḇîm yih·yū ’el- hak·kap·pō·reṯ — WLC · 20

Set the mercy seat atop… the ark and put the Testimony that I will give you into the ark.
𐤅𐤍𐤕𐤕 𐤀𐤕 𐤄𐤊𐤐𐤓𐤕 𐤏𐤋 𐤌𐤋𐤌𐤏𐤋𐤄 𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤍 𐤕𐤕𐤍 𐤀𐤕 𐤄𐤏𐤃𐤕 𐤀𐤔𐤓 𐤀𐤕𐤍 𐤀𐤋𐤉𐤊 𐤅𐤀𐤋 𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤍
וְנָתַתָּ֧ אֶת־ הַכַּפֹּ֛רֶת עַל־ מִלְמָ֑עְלָה הָאָרֹ֖ן תִּתֵּן֙ אֶת־ הָ֣עֵדֻ֔ת אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֶתֵּ֖ן אֵלֶֽיךָ׃ וְאֶל־ הָ֣אָרֹ֔ן wə·nā·ṯa·tā ’eṯ- hak·kap·pō·reṯ ‘al- mil·mā·‘ə·lāh hā·’ā·rōn tit·tên ’eṯ- hā·‘ê·ḏuṯ ’ă·šer ’et·tên ’ê·le·ḵā wə·’el- hā·’ā·rōn — WLC · 21

And I will meet with you there above the mercy seat, between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the Testimony; I will speak with you about all that I command you regarding the Israelites…

וְנוֹעַדְתִּ֣י לְךָ֮ שָׁם֒ מֵעַ֣ל הַכַּפֹּ֗רֶת מִבֵּין֙ שְׁנֵ֣י הַכְּרֻבִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־ אֲרֹ֣ן הָעֵדֻ֑ת אֵ֣ת וְדִבַּרְתִּ֨י אִתְּךָ֜ כָּל־ אֲשֶׁ֧ר אֲצַוֶּ֛ה אוֹתְךָ֖ אֶל־ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃פ wə·nō·w·‘aḏ·tî lə·ḵā šām mê·‘al hak·kap·pō·reṯ mib·bên šə·nê hak·kə·ru·ḇîm ’ă·šer ‘al- ’ă·rōn hā·‘ê·ḏuṯ ’êṯ wə·ḏib·bar·tî ’it·tə·ḵā kāl- ’ă·šer ’ă·ṣaw·weh ’ō·wṯ·ḵā ’el- bə·nê yiś·rā·’êl — WLC · 22
The Table of Showbread

You are also to make a table of acacia wood two cubits long, a cubit wide, and a cubit and a half high.

Then you are to make a lampstand of pure, hammered gold. It shall be made of one piece, including its base and shaft, its cups, and its buds and petals.

Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand— three on one side and three - on the other -.
