Majestic Is His Work

Hallelujah…! I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly.

הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ׀ אוֹדֶ֣ה יְ֭הוָה בְּכָל־ לֵבָ֑ב בְּס֖וֹד יְשָׁרִ֣ים וְעֵדָֽה׃ hal·lū yāh ’ō·w·ḏeh Yah·weh bə·ḵāl lê·ḇāḇ bə·sō·wḏ yə·šā·rîm wə·‘ê·ḏāh — WLC · 1

Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them.

Splendid and majestic is His work; His righteousness endures forever.

הוֹד־ וְהָדָ֥ר פָּֽעֳל֑וֹ וְ֝צִדְקָת֗וֹ עֹמֶ֥דֶת לָעַֽד׃ hō·wḏ- wə·hā·ḏār pā·‘o·lōw wə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯōw ‘ō·me·ḏeṯ lā·‘aḏ — WLC · 3

He has caused His wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate.

עָ֭שָׂה לְנִפְלְאֹתָ֑יו זֵ֣כֶר יְהוָֽה׃ חַנּ֖וּן וְרַח֣וּם ‘ā·śāh lə·nip̄·lə·’ō·ṯāw zê·ḵer Yah·weh ḥan·nūn wə·ra·ḥūm — WLC · 4

He provides food for those who fear Him; He remembers His covenant forever.
𐤍𐤕𐤍 𐤈𐤓𐤐 𐤋𐤉𐤓𐤀𐤉𐤅 𐤉𐤆𐤊𐤓 𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤕𐤅 𐤋𐤏𐤅𐤋𐤌
נָתַ֣ן טֶ֭רֶף לִֽירֵאָ֑יו יִזְכֹּ֖ר בְּרִיתֽוֹ׃ לְעוֹלָ֣ם nā·ṯan ṭe·rep̄ lî·rê·’āw yiz·kōr bə·rî·ṯōw lə·‘ō·w·lām — WLC · 5

He has shown His people the power of His works by giving them the inheritance of the nations.

הִגִּ֣יד לְעַמּ֑וֹ כֹּ֣חַ מַ֭עֲשָׂיו לָתֵ֥ת לָ֝הֶ֗ם נַחֲלַ֥ת גּוֹיִֽם׃ hig·gîḏ lə·‘am·mōw kō·aḥ ma·‘ă·śāw lā·ṯêṯ lā·hem na·ḥă·laṯ gō·w·yim — WLC · 6

The works of His hands are truth and justice; all His precepts are trustworthy.
𐤌𐤏𐤔𐤉 𐤉𐤃𐤉𐤅 𐤀𐤌𐤕 𐤅𐤌𐤔𐤐𐤈 𐤊𐤋 𐤐𐤒𐤅𐤃𐤉𐤅 𐤍𐤀𐤌𐤍𐤉𐤌
מַעֲשֵׂ֣י יָ֭דָיו אֱמֶ֣ת וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט כָּל־ פִּקּוּדָֽיו׃ נֶ֝אֱמָנִ֗ים ma·‘ă·śê yā·ḏāw ’ĕ·meṯ ū·miš·pāṭ kāl- piq·qū·ḏāw ne·’ĕ·mā·nîm — WLC · 7

They are upheld forever and ever, enacted in truth and uprightness.

סְמוּכִ֣ים לָעַ֣ד לְעוֹלָ֑ם עֲ֝שׂוּיִ֗ם בֶּאֱמֶ֥ת וְיָשָֽׁר׃ sə·mū·ḵîm lā·‘aḏ lə·‘ō·w·lām ‘ă·śū·yim be·’ĕ·meṯ wə·yā·šār — WLC · 8

He has sent redemption to His people; He has ordained His covenant forever; holy and awesome is His name.

שָׁ֘לַ֤ח פְּד֤וּת׀ לְעַמּ֗וֹ צִוָּֽה־ בְּרִית֑וֹ לְעוֹלָ֥ם קָד֖וֹשׁ וְנוֹרָ֣א שְׁמֽוֹ׃ šā·laḥ pə·ḏūṯ lə·‘am·mōw ṣiw·wāh- bə·rî·ṯōw lə·‘ō·w·lām qā·ḏō·wōš wə·nō·w·rā šə·mōw — WLC · 9

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow [His precepts] [gain] rich understanding. His praise endures forever!
