See how Your enemies rage, how Your foes have reared their heads.

הִנֵּ֣ה כִּֽי־ א֭וֹיְבֶיךָ יֶהֱמָי֑וּן וּ֝מְשַׂנְאֶ֗יךָ נָ֣שְׂאוּ רֹֽאשׁ׃ hin·nêh kî- ’ō·wy·ḇe·ḵā ye·hĕ·mā·yūn ū·mə·śan·’e·ḵā nā·śə·’ū rōš — WLC · 2

With cunning they scheme against Your people and conspire against those You cherish,
𐤉𐤏𐤓𐤉𐤌𐤅 𐤎𐤅𐤃 𐤏𐤋 𐤏𐤌𐤊 𐤅𐤉𐤕𐤉𐤏𐤑𐤅 𐤏𐤋 𐤑𐤐𐤅𐤍𐤉𐤊
יַעֲרִ֣ימוּ ס֑וֹד עַֽל־ עַ֭מְּךָ וְ֝יִתְיָעֲצ֗וּ עַל־ צְפוּנֶֽיךָ׃ ya·‘ă·rî·mū sō·wḏ ‘al- ‘am·mə·ḵā wə·yiṯ·yā·‘ă·ṣū ‘al- ṣə·p̄ū·ne·ḵā — WLC · 3

saying, “Come, let us erase them as a nation; may the name of Israel be remembered no more.”

אָמְר֗וּ לְ֭כוּ וְנַכְחִידֵ֣ם מִגּ֑וֹי שֵֽׁם־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל יִזָּכֵ֖ר וְלֹֽא־ עֽוֹד׃ ’ā·mə·rū lə·ḵū wə·naḵ·ḥî·ḏêm mig·gō·w šêm- yiś·rā·’êl yiz·zā·ḵêr wə·lō- ‘ō·wḏ — WLC · 4

For with one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against You—

כִּ֤י לֵ֣ב נוֹעֲצ֣וּ יַחְדָּ֑ו יִכְרֹֽתוּ׃ בְּרִ֣ית עָ֝לֶ֗יךָ kî lêḇ nō·w·‘ă·ṣū yaḥ·dāw yiḵ·rō·ṯū bə·rîṯ ‘ā·le·ḵā — WLC · 5

the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites,

אָהֳלֵ֣י אֱ֭דוֹם וְיִשְׁמְעֵאלִ֗ים מוֹאָ֥ב וְהַגְרִֽים׃ ’ā·ho·lê ’ĕ·ḏō·wm wə·yiš·mə·‘ê·lîm mō·w·’āḇ wə·haḡ·rîm — WLC · 6

[of] Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, [of] Philistia with the people of Tyre.

גְּבָ֣ל וְ֭עַמּוֹן וַעֲמָלֵ֑ק פְּ֝לֶ֗שֶׁת עִם־ יֹ֥שְׁבֵי צֽוֹר׃ gə·ḇāl wə·‘am·mō·wn wa·‘ă·mā·lêq pə·le·šeṯ ‘im- yō·šə·ḇê ṣō·wr — WLC · 7

Even Assyria has joined them, lending strength to the sons of Lot. Selah

גַּם־ אַ֭שּׁוּר נִלְוָ֣ה עִמָּ֑ם הָ֤י֥וּ זְר֖וֹעַ לִבְנֵי־ ל֣וֹט סֶֽלָה׃ gam- ’aš·šūr nil·wāh ‘im·mām hā·yū zə·rō·w·a‘ liḇ·nê- lō·wṭ se·lāh — WLC · 8

Do to them as You did to Midian, as to Sisera and Jabin at the River Kishon,

עֲשֵֽׂה־ לָהֶ֥ם כְּמִדְיָ֑ן כְּֽסִֽיסְרָ֥א כְ֝יָבִ֗ין בְּנַ֣חַל קִישֽׁוֹן׃ ‘ă·śêh- lā·hem kə·miḏ·yān kə·sî·sə·rā ḵə·yā·ḇîn bə·na·ḥal qî·šō·wn — WLC · 9

who perished vvv at Endor and became [like] dung on the ground.

Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,

שִׁיתֵ֣מוֹ נְ֭דִיבֵמוֹ כְּעֹרֵ֣ב וְכִזְאֵ֑ב כָּל־ נְסִיכֵֽמוֹ׃ וּֽכְזֶ֥בַח וּ֝כְצַלְמֻנָּ֗ע šî·ṯê·mōw nə·ḏî·ḇê·mōw kə·‘ō·rêḇ wə·ḵiz·’êḇ kāl- nə·sî·ḵê·mōw ū·ḵə·ze·ḇaḥ ū·ḵə·ṣal·mun·nā‘ — WLC · 11

who said, “Let us possess for ourselves the pastures of God.”

אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָ֭מְרוּ נִ֣ירֲשָׁה לָּ֑נוּ אֵ֝֗ת נְא֣וֹת אֱלֹהִֽים׃ ’ă·šer ’ā·mə·rū nî·ră·šāh lā·nū ’êṯ nə·’ō·wṯ ’ĕ·lō·hîm — WLC · 12

Make them like tumbleweed, O my God, like chaff before the wind.

שִׁיתֵ֥מוֹ כַגַּלְגַּ֑ל אֱֽלֹהַ֗י כְּ֝קַ֗שׁ לִפְנֵי־ רֽוּחַ׃ šî·ṯê·mōw ḵag·gal·gal ’ĕlō·hay kə·qaš lip̄·nê- rū·aḥ — WLC · 13

As fire consumes a forest, as a flame sets the mountains {ablaze},
𐤊𐤀𐤔 𐤕𐤁𐤏𐤓 𐤉𐤏𐤓 𐤅𐤊𐤋𐤄𐤁𐤄 𐤕𐤋𐤄𐤈 𐤄𐤓𐤉𐤌
כְּאֵ֥שׁ תִּבְעַר־ יָ֑עַר וּ֝כְלֶהָבָ֗ה תְּלַהֵ֥ט הָרִֽים׃ kə·’êš tiḇ·‘ar- yā·‘ar ū·ḵə·le·hā·ḇāh tə·la·hêṭ hā·rîm — WLC · 14

so pursue them with Your tempest, and terrify them with Your storm.

כֵּ֭ן תִּרְדְּפֵ֣ם בְּסַעֲרֶ֑ךָ תְבַהֲלֵֽם׃ וּבְסוּפָתְךָ֥ kên tir·də·p̄êm bə·sa·‘ă·re·ḵā ṯə·ḇa·hă·lêm ū·ḇə·sū·p̄ā·ṯə·ḵā — WLC · 15

Cover their faces with shame, that they may seek Your name, O LORD.
𐤌𐤋𐤀 𐤐𐤍𐤉𐤄𐤌 𐤒𐤋𐤅𐤍 𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤒𐤔𐤅 𐤔𐤌𐤊 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄
מַלֵּ֣א פְנֵיהֶ֣ם קָל֑וֹן וִֽיבַקְשׁ֖וּ שִׁמְךָ֣ יְהוָֽה׃ mal·lê p̄ə·nê·hem qā·lō·wn wî·ḇaq·šū šim·ḵā Yah·weh — WLC · 16

May they be ever ashamed… and terrified -; may they perish in disgrace.

יֵבֹ֖שׁוּ עֲדֵי־ וְיִבָּהֲל֥וּ עַ֗ד וְיֹאבֵֽדוּ׃ וְֽיַחְפְּר֥וּ yê·ḇō·šū ‘ă·ḏê- wə·yib·bā·hă·lū ‘aḏ wə·yō·ḇê·ḏū wə·yaḥ·pə·rū — WLC · 17

May they know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, are Most High over all the earth.
