The LORD Reigns!

The LORD reigns; let the nations tremble! He is enthroned above the cherubim; let the earth quake!

יְהוָ֣ה מָ֭לָךְ עַמִּ֑ים יִרְגְּז֣וּ יֹשֵׁ֥ב כְּ֝רוּבִ֗ים הָאָֽרֶץ׃ תָּנ֥וּט Yah·weh mā·lāḵ ‘am·mîm yir·gə·zū yō·šêḇ kə·rū·ḇîm hā·’ā·reṣ tā·nūṭ — WLC · 1

Great is the LORD in Zion; He is exalted above all the peoples.

Let them praise Your great and awesome name— He is holy!

The mighty King loves justice. You have established equity; You have exercised justice and righteousness in Jacob.

וְעֹ֥ז מֶלֶךְ֮ אָ֫הֵ֥ב מִשְׁפָּ֪ט אַ֭תָּה כּוֹנַ֣נְתָּ מֵישָׁרִ֑ים אַתָּ֬ה עָשִֽׂיתָ׃ מִשְׁפָּ֥ט וּ֝צְדָקָ֗ה בְּיַעֲקֹ֤ב׀ wə·‘ōz me·leḵ ’ā·hêḇ miš·pāṭ ’at·tāh kō·w·nan·tā mê·šā·rîm ’at·tāh ‘ā·śî·ṯā miš·pāṭ ū·ṣə·ḏā·qāh bə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ — WLC · 4

Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at His footstool; He is holy!

רֽוֹמְמ֡וּ יְה֘וָ֤ה אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ וְֽ֭הִשְׁתַּחֲווּ לַהֲדֹ֥ם רַגְלָ֗יו הֽוּא׃ קָד֥וֹשׁ rō·wm·mū Yah·weh ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū wə·hiš·ta·ḥă·wū la·hă·ḏōm raḡ·lāw hū qā·ḏō·wōš — WLC · 5

Moses and Aaron were among His priests; Samuel was among those who called on His name. They called to the LORD and He answered.

מֹ֘שֶׁ֤ה וְאַהֲרֹ֨ן׀ בְּֽכֹהֲנָ֗יו וּ֭שְׁמוּאֵל בְּקֹרְאֵ֣י שְׁמ֑וֹ קֹרִ֥אים אֶל־ יְ֝הוָ֗ה וְה֣וּא יַעֲנֵֽם׃ mō·šeh wə·’a·hă·rōn bə·ḵō·hă·nāw ū·šə·mū·’êl bə·qō·rə·’ê šə·mōw qō·rim ’el- Yah·weh wə·hū ya·‘ă·nêm — WLC · 6

He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept His decrees and the statutes He gave them.

יְדַבֵּ֣ר אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם בְּעַמּ֣וּד עָ֭נָן שָׁמְר֥וּ עֵ֝דֹתָ֗יו וְחֹ֣ק נָֽתַן־ לָֽמוֹ׃ yə·ḏab·bêr ’ă·lê·hem bə·‘am·mūḏ ‘ā·nān šā·mə·rū ‘ê·ḏō·ṯāw wə·ḥōq nā·ṯan- lā·mōw — WLC · 7

O LORD our God, You answered them. You were a forgiving God to them, yet an avenger of their misdeeds.

יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵינוּ֮ אַתָּ֪ה עֲנִ֫יתָ֥ם הָיִ֣יתָ נֹ֭שֵׂא אֵ֣ל לָהֶ֑ם וְ֝נֹקֵ֗ם עַל־ עֲלִילוֹתָֽם׃ Yah·weh ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū ’at·tāh ‘ă·nî·ṯām hā·yî·ṯā nō·śê ’êl lā·hem wə·nō·qêm ‘al- ‘ă·lî·lō·w·ṯām — WLC · 8

Exalt the LORD our God and worship at His holy mountain, for the LORD our God is holy.
