The Seventh Seal
1
- When [the Lamb] opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and they were given seven trumpets.

Then another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, along with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne.
Καὶ ἄλλος ἄγγελος ἔχων χρυσοῦν λιβανωτὸν ἦλθεν καὶ ἐστάθη ἐπὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ αὐτῷ ἐδόθη πολλὰ θυμιάματα ἵνα δώσει ταῖς προσευχαῖς πάντων τῶν ἁγίων ἐπὶ τὸ τὸ χρυσοῦν θυσιαστήριον τὸ ἐνώπιον τοῦ θρόνου Kai allos angelos echōn chrysoun libanōton ēlthen kai estathē epi tou thysiastēriou kai autō edothē polla thymiamata hina dōsei tais proseuchais pantōn tōn hagiōn epi to to chrysoun thysiastērion to enōpion tou thronou — NA/TR · 3

Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled [it] to the earth; and there were peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.
